Damage and Fatigue Failure of Conventional and Bulk-Filled Resin Composites

چکیده

Objectives: Resin-based composites are the most widely used dental restorative materials. Bulk-fill resin of rising interest as they can be clinically applied in thicker increments compared to conventional composites. The purpose study was evaluate flexural fatigue strength a and bulk-filled composite placed incrementally or non-incrementally. Methods: Resin specimens were fabricated using either (Brilliant EverGlow?) bulk-fill (Fill-Up!TM) by non-incremental filling (2 × 2 25 mm3) (1 mm3). Specimens stored distilled water for 24 h thermocycled 5000 cycles. static (σ), limit (FFL) after 105 cycles post-fatigue (PFσ) measured. Data analyzed ANOVA, with post-hoc Tukey’s test compare mean FFL (p σ PFσ regardless incremental cure thermocycling but not There no significant difference storage, increase < 0.05). Conclusions: type rather than placement had greater effect on strength, suggesting that operator technique less influence material selection. Thermocycling combination cyclic loading caused strengthening composites, likely due absorption dissipation stresses, thereby enhancing resistance fracture.

Fatigue Failure and Damage Analysis of an Anti-roll Bar Subjected to Fatigue Experiments

The available fatigue theories have been examined using simple specimens subjected to bending or tension-compression loads. Therefore, the stress fields have been generally one or two dimensional. Anti-roll bar is a component belongs to the suspension system of the vehicles. In spite of having simple circular section, due to the having several curvatures, this component experiences a three-dime...

Push-Out Bond Strength of Restorations with Bulk-Fill, Flow, and Conventional Resin Composites

The aim of this study was to evaluate the bond strengths of composite restorations made with different filler amounts and resin composites that were photoactivated using a light-emitting diode (LED). Thirty bovine incisors were selected, and a conical cavity was prepared in the facial surface of each tooth. All preparations were etched with Scotchbond Etching Gel, the Adper Scotchbond Multipurp...

Comparing the Microleakage of Bulk-Fill (flowable, packable) Composite Restorations and Conventional Light-cured Composites

Introduction and aim: Bulk Fill composites have increased polymerization depth and their contraction stress, and cuspal deflection are reduced in comparison with conventional composites. Therefore, it is claimed that their microleakage is reduced. The aim of this study was to compare microleakage of (flowable and packable) Bulk Fill and conventional resin composites. Materials and Methods: Thi...

Relation between conversion degree and cytotoxicity of a flowable bulk-fill and three conventional flowable resin-composites.

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study is to evaluate if the cytotoxic effects of the Surefil SDR flow, bulk fill flowable composite resin and three conventional flowable materials (Venus Diamond Flow, Filtex Supreme XTE Flowable and Enamel plus HRi Flow) correlated with the conversion degree (DC); hardness and depth of cure are also assessed. MATERIALS AND METHODS Disks of each materials--cured usi...
